Allen Americans News Release
Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans announced Wednesday that forward Nick Layton has been recalled by the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League.
Nick Layton joined the Americans this season, after playing against Allen in last year's Conference Finals with the Bossier/Shreveport Mudbugs.
Layton has played in 50 games for the Americans this season, tallying 36 points (13 goals and 23 assists). He is tied for fifth in the Central Hockey League in rookie scoring.
The native of Wheaton Settlement, NB, went to training camp with the Texas Stars before returning to Allen to start the season.
The Americans return to action this Friday, February 24th against the Laredo Bucks, starting a home and home matchup against their South Texas rival.
Friday night's game has a 7:05 PM puck drop.
