CLEARWATER, Fla. - Drew Stankiewicz came through with his second walk-off hit of the season, stringing one to the right field corner to score Jan Hernandez from second and send the Threshers home with a 4-3, 11-inning win over the Jupiter Hammerheads on Wednesday afternoon.

Jupiter (12-15) rallied to tie the game in the ninth, when Rodrigo Vigil walked against Luke Leftwich and a hit-and-run play put runners on the corners with nobody out. Zach Sullivan 's sacrifice fly brought home Vigil to knot the teams up at three.

Still tied in the bottom of the 11th, Hernandez worked a leadoff walk following a seven-pitch face-off with Travis Ballew (0-1).

With Stankiewicz up, Hernandez advanced to second on a wild pitch. Ahead in the count 2-1, Stankiewicz pulled one into right that carried into the corner, sending Hernandez jogging home from second with the winning run.

The walk-off knock was the second of the year for Stankeiwicz, who also won a game on April 15th with a double to the warning track that scored Deivi Grullon for the win over Palm Beach in 10 innings.

Clearwater (18-9) went up early on Wednesday, when Hernandez singled, Austin Bossart doubled, and Grenny Cumana lifted a sac fly to left to bring in Hernandez with the game's first run in the second inning.

The Hammerheads bit back in the third. With one out, Sullivan launched a solo shot off Franklyn Kilome to tie the game, and an out later Stone Garrett lofted a high fly to left for his second homer, putting Jupiter in front.

Kilome would permit just those two runs on five hits in his five innings. He did not issue a walk, and struck out six in the no-decision.

Down 2-1, Clearwater again pushed ahead in the fourth.

Reliever Nick Neumann walked Stankiewicz with one out, and Bossart followed with a deep drive down the left field line for his first round-tripper of the season, giving the Threshers the 3-2 lead.

Austin Davis twirled three scoreless out of the Threshers pen, permitting just a single and a walk while striking out four. In seven outings this year, Davis sports a 1.04 ERA and has struck out 23 batters compared to just three walks across 17.1 innings.

Leftwich entered in the ninth, and after walking just two batters across his prior seven outings, Vigil drew a base on balls off him to put the tying run on. The Hammerheads put the hit-and-run on, and with Vigil running and Stankiewicz moving to cover second, JJ Gould grounded a soft single through the open right side to set the Hammerheads up with men at the corners.

Justin Bohn popped a bunt up to first for a big first out, but Sullivan came through for Jupiter with the game-tying sac fly.

The Threshers persevered, with Stankiewicz delivering the game-winner as the Threshers improved to 2-1 in extra innings this year.

Clearwater will go for the series win on Thursday, when Cole Irvin (3-1) toes the rubber opposite Scott Squier (0-4). First pitch is at 7 p.m. on Taps and Tacos Night, presented by Tijuana Flats, and the game will be broadcast live on threshersbaseball.com starting at 6:45 p.m.
