Calgary Stampeders News Release
The Calgary Stampeders are proud to announce that running back Joffrey Reynolds, receiver Ken-Yon Rambo and kicker Sandro DeAngelis have been named to the CFL Offensive All-Star team.
Reynolds led the league with 1,310 rushing yards. It's his first rushing title after finishing second twice (2005 and 2006) and third last season. Reynolds also scored 10 touchdowns on the ground and caught 41 passes for 288 yards and two more scores. He has been a West Division all-star in all four of his full CFL seasons while this is his third nod as CFL all-star.
Rambo won the league's receiving crown on the last day of the regular season with three catches for 81 yards against the BC Lions. He finished with 1,473 yards and eight touchdowns on 100 receptions. The 100 catches are a career high and this was his first 1,000-yard season. This is the first time he has received West Division and CFL all-star honours.
DeAngelis, the most accurate kicker in CFL history, has enjoyed another stellar season. He converted a league-high 50 of 58 field goals for an 86.2 percentage. He also was strong on kickoffs and led the league with a career-high 217 points. He's been a West Division and CFL allstar in all four seasons played.
Selections are made by the Football Reporters of Canada, each Canadian Football League team and fan across the country.
Tickets are still available for the West Final on Nov. 15 at 2:30 p.m. against BC. The game is expected to sell out, so fans are encouraged to get their tickets through Ticketmaster at 403.777.0000 or by visiting Ticketmaster.ca.
