
Stampeder Fantasy Captains Announced

Calgary Stampeders News Release
(Calgary) - On Saturday Aug 13th, 12:30 pm at Cardel Place the entire Stampeder team will be in attendance and each team will be lead by Stampeder players and Stampeder Outriders. All fans still have a chance for a free entry at Cardel Place (11950 Country Village Link NE) or online at www.cardelhomes.com. Entries will be accepted until Tuesday, August 9th, 2005, with the draw being held on the following day Wednesday, August 10th. All participants will be split into five teams of twenty participants. Teams will be run through a series of fun, football themed drills. The team that has the best combined time on all drills will be sent to the Fantasy Football Experience on Sept 4 at McMahon Stadium.

Jeremaine Copeland- representing School Supplies For Kids
Jamie Crysdale- representing Kid's Cancer Care
Sheldon Napastuk- representing Brown Bagging for Calgary Street Kids-
Henry Burris- representing Big Brothers and Sisters
George White- representing the Special Olympics
Each of the five teams at the tryouts will be represented by the charity of the Stampeder player's choice. The winning team will receive $15,000, which will be donated by Cardel Homes to their charity, second place will receive $10,000, third place $5,000, fourth place $3,000 and last place $1,000 for each of the charities they represent.
the fantasy football experience
The 20 lucky winning team members will spend a day at practice with the Stampeders on Sunday Sept 4, 2005. They will participate in stretching and passing drills with the Stampeders. They will also receive a Calgary Stampeder Track Suit, a one day CFL contract, a press release announcing signing and releasing, and two tickets to a Stampeder game.
