
Stampede Weekly Update: Herd Open Regular Season Tomorrow Night

Sioux Falls Stampede News Release
The Sioux Falls Stampede will kick off their 15th anniversary season tomorrow (Saturday) when they travel to Des Moines to face the Buccaneers at 7:05 PM. Fans can listen to the game live on KELO News Talk 1320-AM, 107.9-FM and online at www.kelo.com . In addition, fans can watch the game live through Fasthockey .
The Stampede are coming off a record setting season in which they set franchise records for wins (45), home wins (24) and points (92) while taking home a regular season Western Conference championship.
Last season, the Stampede went 5-1-0 against the Bucs who finished the 2012-13 campaign with a 25-35-4 mark.

Stampede finish pre-season 3-2-0
The Stampede finished pre-season play with a 3-2-0 mark. Sioux Falls begin exhibition play at the USHL Atlantic Challenge in New Jersey where they defeated Cedar Rapids, 5-4 in the first game. In the second game, the Herd fell to Youngstown before topping Muskegon, 5-3 in the last game.
Last weekend, the Stampede competed in the USHL Fall Classic West in Sioux City where they defeated Omaha 4-2 before falling 5-4 to the host Musketeers in the final game. Last year, Sioux Falls went 1-5-0 in pre-season play.

Stampede announce captains
The Stampede announced their captains for the upcoming season today. Ed McGovern, Dennis Kravchenko,C.J. Franklin and RJ Majkozak will all serve as captains. All four players played key roles for the Herd last year during their record setting season.

Season ticket holder pickup party on Tuesday!
A reminder to Stampede season ticket holders that the season ticket holder pickup party with take place on Tuesday, September 24th from 5:30-7:30 PM at the Birdcage. This is your first chance to meet this year's Stampede team, pickup your tickets and enjoy dinner on us! Burgers, hot dogs, chips and soda will be served as we get gear up for another exciting year of Stampede hockey! If you have not RSVP please do so by 5 PM today (Friday)!

No matter your schedule, the Stampede have a ticket plan for you. Season tickets start as low as $180 a seat and that guarantees you the same seat for all 30 home games plus a 15% discount on Stampede merchandise and special invites to player only parties. In addition, season ticket holders will have priority seating next year in the new Events Center.

The season premiere of Inside Stampede Hockey takes place this Monday. September 23rd from 5-6 PM on KWSN AM-1230, FM-98.1 and online atwww.kwsn.com . Hear from head coach Cary Eades and Stampede players about the first game of the season. The show airs every Monday throughout the season.
