
Stampede to play D-Fenders in second round

BOISE, Idaho (April 15, 2008) - The NBA Development League West Division champions, Idaho Stampede, will be playing the Los Angeles D-Fenders, in Boise on Friday, April 18th at 7:30 pm, for second round action of the NBA Development League Playoffs presented by Delta Airlines. Earlier tonight Los Angeles defeated the Colorado 14ers 102-95 in the first round of the D-League playoffs at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, to advance to the second round.
The Stampede and the D-Fenders fought for the top spot in the West Division all season long. The two teams faced off a total of eight times throughout the season with Idaho winning five out of the eight meetings. Los Angeles has defeated the Stampede in the last two games.
Los Angeles guard Coby Karl, currently on an NBA assignment from the Los Angeles Lakers, will return to Boise for the first time since joining the professional ranks in an NBA D-league jersey. Karl, who ranks third on the Boise State's all-time scoring list, played all four years of his collegiate career for the Broncos.
Tickets, because of such short notice are half price. A limited number of seats in specific sections that have face values of $19, $14, and $11 are available to fans for only $9.50, $7.00, or $5.50, by calling the Stampede office at 208-388-4667, before 5:00 pm Thursday.
