
Earl Calloway Named MVP Of The Fort Wayne Mad Ants

FORT WAYNE, IN. - The Fort Wayne Mad Ants, who ended their inaugural season this past weekend, name point guard Earl Calloway team MVP for 2007-08.
The Indiana University alumn had a standout rookie season and has become a Fort Wayne fan favorite. He has proven to be one of the league's top point guards and was named All NBA D-League Honorable Mention. He started in 46 of the Mad Ants 50 games, averaging 19 points, 5.8 assists, and 2 steals per game and ranked 8th in scoring average, 6th in assists, 4th in steals, and 4th in free throw percentage among the league's leaders. Calloway scored more than 30 points in 5 games including a 44 point performance March 22nd against the Dakota Wizards. Calloway ended the season on Saturday with a stellar performance scoring 31 points in the loss to Dakota.
