Stampede Surpass 100,000 in Attendance with Big Crowds over the Weekend

Over 13,000 fans cheered on the Stampede this past weekend as the Herd took five of a possible six points in three games at the Arena.

On Friday, 4,398 were in attendance as the Stampede gained a point in a 3-2 shootout loss to the Des Moines Buccaneers. Click here for the recap.

On Saturday, a sellout crowd of 4,772 watched the Stampede blank the Green Bay Gamblers 3-0. Click here for the recap.

Last night (Sunday), Sioux Falls swept the Gamblers with a 5-3 victory in front of 3,906.

Through 24 games, 100, 322 fans have cheered on the Stampede for an average of 4,180 per-game, tops amongst all USHL teams. The Stampede are averaging over 300 more fans per-game through 24 contests. Last year, Sioux Falls finished third in the league with an average attendance of 3, 884 over 32 games. This season, the Herd will play 30 home games.

"There is no question we have the best fans in the league," said Stampede CEO/President Tom Garrity . "The support this season has been tremendous and our goal is to continue to increase our attendance over the final six games and heading into playoffs. Thank you to our fans and corporate partners who have been so supportive all season."
