
Stampede Stay Hot with Win Against Reno

BOISE, Idaho - Tony Bobbitt scored 17 points off the bench, adding five rebounds and three steals, and the Idaho Stampede swept the weekend series with the Reno Bighorns, winning tonight 104-95. Antoine Walker, also a substitute, added 16 points and six rebounds.
Dressed in Utah Jazz jerseys, the Stampede led by as many as 16, as they held Reno to 38.2 percent shooting from the field. Idaho out-rebounded their opponents 49-44 and forced 16 turnovers, which led to 26 Stampede points. Marcus Banks aided the bench with 13 points. Mikki Moore (15 points) and Terrico White(10 points) led the starters in scoring. Reggie Larry had four points and a team-high eight rebounds in just 18 minutes.
Up by just one entering the final quarter, Idaho made 10-of-11 free throws and forced seven Reno turnovers to help win the game. Reno had fewer assists (14) than they did turnovers (16), and sent Idaho to the line for 29 foul shots, and Idaho capitalized by making 24.
Blake Ahearn scored 27 points for the Bighorns (16-18), while Josh Selby added 24 points and eight rebounds. Bobby Simmons had 19 points and 18 rebounds.
Idaho plays at Reno on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 8 p.m. (MST), before heading to Los Angeles to play the D-Fenders the next night, their last game before the NBA All-Star break.
