Stampede sign Eric Chenowith

BOISE, Idaho (November 8, 2005) - The Idaho Stampede have announced that they have signed center Eric Chenowith. Chenowith, a former standout at Kansas, was selected in the second round of the 2001 NBA draft by the New York Knicks.

Chenowith completed his career at Kansas as the second all time leading shot blocker with 242. He averaged 9.2 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. He most recently has been working out with the NBA's Denver Nuggets and has also played with the NBDL's Roanoke Dazzle, Greensville Groove and Huntsville Flight.

Opening night for the Idaho Stampede at Qwest Arena is Saturday, Nov. 19, against the Yakama Sun Kings. Tip-off is 7:10 p.m, and the halftime show is The Rubberboy, a world-renowned contortionist.
