GARY, Indiana (November 7, 2005) - A house may not be a home, but Larry House hopes to be very much at home in the CBA with the Gary Steelheads. The 6-foot-4 former Creighton standout was signed to a CBA contract today.
This summer, House played with the Nebraska Cranes of the USBL, where he averaged 15.2 ppg. and 6.2 rpg., while shooting 50.5 percent from the field. He also competed in the Southern California Summer Pro League with the champion Play 2 Win team.
House played his college ball at Creighton University for coach Dana Altman, where he appeared in 30 games as a junior, averaging 7.2 ppg. As a senior, he teamed with All-America forward Kyle Korver (Philadelphia 76ers) and guard DeAnthony Bowden to lead the Bluejays to a Top 15 national ranking in the Associated Press Poll. House started all 34 games, ranking second on the team in scoring at 11.1 ppg. He also shot 51 percent from the field. House was named to the Missouri Valley's All-Tournament team.
