Stampede secure playoff spot, home game with win

March 26, 2007 - NBA G League (G League)
Idaho Stampede News Release

BOISE, Idaho (March 26, 2007) - With an exciting 108-106 win in double overtime over Albuquerque on Sunday, the Idaho Stampede not only clinched a playoff spot, but also clinched a home playoff game during the 2007 NBA Development League Championship presented by Delta Air Lines.

The Stampede clinch at least a two-seed in the Western Division with the win, giving them home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs, should they finish in that spot.

Idaho currently sits in first place in the division, which would give them a bye in the first round of the playoffs, should the standings stay as they are. The Colorado 14ers trail Idaho in the division by 2.5 games.

The sudden-death postseason format takes the top three finishers from each division, with the #2 and #3 seeds from each side playing to meet the top seeds. The winners of those second round games will meet in the title game, also a "one-and-done".

The actual game dates of playoff games are yet to be determined.

Five of the seven remaining games on Idaho's schedule are against Western Division foes, including a home-and-home series against the 14ers on April 6 and 7. Four of the seven remaining games are at home, with the next home game being Tuesday, April 3 against the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
