D-League daily developments

March 26, 2007 - NBA G League (G League) News Release

TODAY'S SCHEDULE
No Games Scheduled

NEXT ONE: The Toronto Raptors signed Idaho swingman Luke Jackson to a 10-day contract on Sunday, meaning the next D-League player to earn a GATORADE Call-Up will mark highs for both players and numbers of callups in a season. Fourteen (14) players have been called up 18 times this season. Eighteen callups matches last season's all-time best, while 14 players matches the amount earning a promotion in 2003-04.

THEY SAID IT: "I don't need the money. If I wanted to go chase money, I got offered an awful lot of money to go play in Europe, but that really wasn't what it was about for me ... I just said, `No. I'm going to make it back (to the NBA) this year.'" ... former NBA first round selection Luke Jackson told the Toronto Star about his decision to play in the D-League instead of overseas.

SECOND 10: Portland signed former Fort Worth center Luke Schenscher to a second 10-day contract on Sunday. The Blazers made the Australia native the 16th GATORADE Call-Up this season on March 15. He has appeared in one game, grabbing two rebounds in four minutes off the bench in Portland's 92-86 win at New York on March 22.

SPOT SECURED: With a win at Albuquerque on Sunday the Idaho Stampede secured a spot in the 2007 NBA Development League Championship presented by Delta Air Lines. The sudden-death postseason format takes the top three finishers from each division, with the #2 and #3 seeds from each side playing to meet the top seeds. The winners of those second round games will meet in the title game, also a "one-and-done".

WHEN AND WHERE? All postseason games will be played at the arena of the highest seed in each game. Depending on arena availability, the postseason will begin the week of April 16.
