Stampede Players and Dancers Will Trade Game Tickets for Toy Donations

Boise, Idaho (December 13, 2004) --- In an effort to collect additional toys for needy children, Idaho Stampede players and members of the Stampede Spirit Dance team will participate in a special "Tickets for Toys" event tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 14, at the Wal-Mart Store in Nampa. A free ticket to a Stampede basketball game will be given to anyone donating toys during the event.

Players will be on hand from 1 p.m. to 3:15 p.m., while dance team members will participate from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Stampede players Bryan Christiansen, Alhaji Mohommed, and Donald Williams will appear for at the Wal-Mart Store, located at 2100 12th Avenue Road, Nampa:

"We will provide a reserved seat ticket in exchange for each toy received," said team spokesperson Steve Brandes. "There is no limit on the number of toys a person can donate, and we'll match each one with a ticket for the person making the donation. The Stampede is grateful to Wal-Mart and the people of Canyon County for supporting us, and this is a small way we can help during the holiday season."

The Stampede (5-5) play at Yakima Thursday and then begin a three-game homestand this Friday and Saturday, December 17 and 18, at the Idaho Center in Nampa.
