
Stampede make roster moves

BOISE, ID- November 8, 2004- The Idaho Stampede, the Treasure Valley's professional basketball team, announced today that they have signed Eric Williams and Richard Jeter to free-agent contracts.
Williams, a 6'8, 243 lb. forward has spent the past two seasons playing professionally in the United States with various leagues. The 6'8 forward played collegiately for Syracuse University and the University of Massachusetts. As a senior, Williams averaged 5.7 ppg and 4.7 rpg for the Minutemen during their 2001-02 season.
Jeter, a 6'6, 215 lb. guard has played professionally in the United States, most recently with the NBA's Toronto Raptors in their 2004 Summer League Camp. The 6'6 guard played collegiately for Atlanta Metro Junior College. During the 2002-03 season, Jeter averaged 22.2 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 2.0 apg and was named the 2003 Georgia JUCO Player of the Year.
Today's transactions concluded with the signing of guard Quincy Wilder, guard Bryan Christiansen and guard Josh Steinthal. The Stampede's roster now includes eleven total players.
The Stampede begins their seventh season on the road November 19 and 20, against the Yakima Sun Kings and returns on Friday, November 26, for a three-game homestand to tip-off against the Great Lakes Storm at 7:10 p.m. for their home season opener.
