January 20, 2007 - NBA G League (G League)
Bakersfield Jam News Release
Bakersfield, CA Jan. 19 - The Idaho Stampede were able to push their win streak to 10 with their 101 - 83 victory over the Bakersfield Jam on Friday night before a crowd of 3,169 in Bakersfield. Idaho was led by Jeff Graves who put up 18 points in the win.
With this victory, Idaho improved their record to 15-7, the best record in the Western Division. Idaho came out fast to open the game. In the first quarter, they achieved a 15 point lead, and ended the quarter up by 10.
This difficult loss dropped the Jam to a record of 7-15. "We came out really flat in the first five minutes or so," said Jam coach Jim Harrick. "We missed too many layups and foul shots, and they didn't"
The Jam was lead by Tony Bobbitt, who scored 24 points Friday night. Kevinn Pinkney and Brandon Bowman contributed 16 and 15 points respectively.
The Stampede currently has two NBA players on their roster; Mouhamed Sene of the Seattle Supersonics and C.J. Miles of the Utah Jazz. Sene was the 10th overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft by Seattle while Miles was the 34th overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft by the Jazz.
Unfortunately for the Jam, they never seem to all be healthy at once. Gerry McNamara and Tamar Slay were both under the weather for Friday's game.
The Jam and Stampede will face off again Sunday, January 21st in Bakersfield.
Jam tickets are on sale and can be purchased at bakersfieldjam.com or at the Jam front office. For premium or group seating call the Jam office at (661) 716-4JAM.
