Sioux Falls Stampede News Release

Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Stampede announced Monday that they have acquired defensemen Logan Britt and Mason Klee from the Lincoln Stars in exchange for defensemen Tony Follmer, Jaden Shields, a 2019 Phase II first round selection and future considerations. The move was made just prior to the USHL trade deadline this afternoon.

Britt was second on the Stars in defensive scoring with 18 points (5g, 13a) in 46 games. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound blueliner was the Stars first round selection (11th overall) during the 2018 USHL Phase II Draft. He spent the 2017-18 season with the Aberdeen Wings (NAHL) where he recorded 23 points (1g, 22a) in 52 games. The Crystal Lake, IL native has already committed to play collegiate hockey at Quinnipiac University.

Klee brings a veteran prescience to the Stampede blue line, having appeared in 101 career games, all with Lincoln. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound, right-hander has seven points (2g, 5a) in 47 games this season. Last year, Klee posted a plus-16 rating while helping lead the Stars to the Western Conference Semifinals. A native of Morrison, CO, Klee has committed to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI).

Follmer appeared in 42 games this season with the Stampede, tallying five points. Shields was acquired by the Stampede on February 5th from Omaha and skated in seven games with the Herd, posting two goals.

Britt and Klee will join the Stampede this week and will be available this weekend when the Herd play weekend series against Tri-City at the PREMIER Center. Game times are 7:05 PM each night and tickets are available through the KELOLAND Box Office or any Ticketmaster outlet. Friday night's game is presented by BCI Dakota Division while Saturday is Special Olympics of South Dakota Night, presented by Modern Woodmen of America.
