Staff Continues to Grow
October 30, 2005 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Bloomington PrairieThunder News Release
Central Illinois Arena Management is making progress with booking events as well as hiring full time staff. The Box Office Manager will begin November 1 and the Operations Manager will start November 7.
Jane Everhart, Box Office Manager, previously worked at the Peoria Civic Center as the Assistant Box Office Manager for 5 years and as the Novelties Manager for 7 years.
Everhart's position at the Coliseum will include working with promoters, General Manager and Assistant General Manager in determining and setting ticket prices and event scaling, coordinating with U.S. Cellular's ticketing representatives regarding program events on the system and dispersing information to points of sale, providing in-depth instructions on event programming and reconciling event sales and generating the Box Office's portion of settlements.
"Since our box office will be temporarily set up at the Government Center until the facility opens, it is comforting to have someone as talented as Jane to run the box office operations from an off-site location," Mike Nelson said.
Shannon Fritcher, the Operations Manager, has over 12 years of experience in arena and sports management with an emphasis on event coordination, guest services and security. Previously, as the Assistant Director of Guest Services at the Savvis Center in St. Louis, Missouri, her duties included managing part-time event staff of 250-300 employees, preparing monthly supervisor work schedule, tracking attendance for all part-time staff, and conducting training for new employees.
Prior to her position at the Savvis Center, she was the Senior Event Coordinator at the Kansas Expocentre in Topeka, Kansas where she booked and coordinated events for a six building, multi-entertainment facility.
Fritcher has also coordinated events such as, NCAA Final Four Wrestling Championships, NCAA Final Four Women's Basketball Championships, United States Gymnastics Championships, Concerts, National High School Rodeo State Finals and World Wrestling Entertainment Pay-Per-View Event.
"These two individuals offer a wealth of knowledge and we're very pleased to have them onboard as we move forward to an April first opening," Nelson said.
