St. Louis Joins Everblades

Estero, FL - The Florida Everblades Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Gerry Fleming announced today that Jonathan St. Louis (pronounced Saint Lou-ee) has been signed by the Everblades for the 2002-03 season. Last season, St. Louis (6'2", 216) registered 19 goals and 17 assists for 36 points in 64 regular season games with the New-Mexico Scorpions of the Central Hockey League. St. Louis joins Keith Anderson, Vince Williams, Tom Buckley, Lee Ruff, Mario Joly and Tom Nelson on the Everblades training camp roster so far for the 2002-03 campaign.

The 21 year old St. Louis played five seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) and amassed 168 points in 263 contests before joining Long Beach in the West Coast Hockey League at the end of the 2000-01 season. Everblades head coach Gerry Fleming on St. Louis, "Jonathan is a big, tough winger who has good hands and the ability to score goals. He finishes his checks and plays with an edge. We feel he's a great addition to our hockey club." Florida opens training camp on October 1st and battle the Columbus Cottonmouths in two preseason contests at TECO Arena on Friday, October 4th and Saturday, October 5th at 7:30 PM.
