Kevin Reiter Returns For Second Stint With Roanoke
September 11, 2002 - ECHL (ECHL)
Roanoke Express News Release
Roanoke, VA â The Roanoke Express have announced that former play by play announcer Kevin Reiter will be returning to the broadcast booth for the 2002-2003 season replacing Mike Vaillancourt. Reiter, a Medford, New Jersey native, did play by play for the Express and was the team's Director of Media Relations during the 2000-2001 ECHL season.
After completing the 2001 season in the Express radio booth, Reiter chose to devote his efforts full time to the Salem Avalanche of the Carolina League, a class A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. He will now do double duty between the clubs. As the Director of Media Relations, he will be responsible for all media contacts and league wide communications. Reiter will broadcast all 72 Express games as well as co-host the Roanoke Express Coaches Show which will debut on the air in November.
"I am very excited to be working with the Express once again", said Reiter. "I loved the one year I was there, and now, with better ownership in Ashby Coleman, I can't wait to get started. The Chicago/Norfolk affiliation will make this season that much more exciting."
"Kevin is a class act and an excellent broadcaster", said General Manager and Head Coach Perry Florio. "He is an excellent addition to our staff and he will add nothing but character and professionalism to our organization."
