
Wiley to Add Ownership Interest

Lexington, KY- Lexington Men O' War President and Owner Michel Cadrin today announced a new level of ownership and promotions within the corporate entity overseeing the East Coast Hockey League franchise.
Jim Wiley, who was named as Head Coach of the franchise in June of 2002, now has an ownership position with Cadrin in the franchise, and has accepted the dual position of General Manager/ Head Coach. Wiley, in addition to his duties behind the bench, will assist the franchise in its daily business operations.
Jean Gagnon, who has served as the Men O' War Vice President and General Manager since the club's inception, has been elevated to Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions for Micadco, US, LLC, and will serve as a consultant to the franchise. Both changes are effective immediately. Gagnon, who was hired to assist in the start up of the franchise, is poised for this new challenge.
"I am excited to pursue a new level of business interests within Mr. Cadrin," said Gagnon. "I am very pleased with the initial level of support from Central Kentucky fans and businesses, and I look forward to assisting the team in the future."
Wiley has spent the last 11 years with the San Jose Sharks, and was named Shark's Head Coach on December 2, 1995. He was previously head coach of the IHL's Kansas City Blades. Wiley most recently coached the Kentucky Thoroughblades from 1996-98. For the last four seasons, Wiley has served as the Director of Hockey Operations for the Sharks AHL affiliate. This is Wiley's first tenure as an Owner or a General Manager.
The Lexington Men O' War open their inaugural season at Rupp Arena on Friday, October 11th against the Greensboro Generals. Season ticket and advertising for the 2002-2003 inaugural season are on sale at the Men O' War office. For more information call the front office at (859)-455-9900.
