BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Jan. 23, 2022) - The Austin Spurs fell to the Birmingham Squadron by a final score of 113-106 on Sunday night.

San Antonio Spurs assignee Josh Primo recorded a career-high 24 points to go along with 4 assists and 3 rebounds.

Two-way player Devontae Cacok posted his 14th consecutive double-double for the Spurs dating back to Showcase Cup play with 14 points and 18 rebounds, and two-way player Joe Wieskamp finished with 17 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals.

Jaylen Morris also put up a double-double for Austin with 24 points and 10 rebounds.

Trey Murphy III led Birmingham with 33 points and 11 rebounds. Naji Marshall tallied 26 points and 13 rebounds in the Squadron's win.

The 2021-22 Austin Spurs season is presented by SWBC.

The Austin Spurs will return home to take on the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Thursday, Jan. 27 at 7:30 p.m. CT at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park. The game will be broadcast live on Bally Sports Southwest and ESPN+.
