
Sprint to Dow Diamond for Loons Pennant Race

MIDLAND, MI - As the running season heats up, the Great Lakes Loons and the Midland Community Center are proud to present the 6th Annual Pennant Race, hosted at Dow Diamond on Saturday, April 28.
The Pennant Race features a 5K Run/Walk taking participants through downtown Midland, around Emerson Park and along parts of the Pere-Marquette Rail Trail all before finishing back at Dow Diamond. The 5K, beginning at 11:00 a.m., will be followed by a 1 Mile Fun Run at noon.
Entry fees for the Pennant Race will be $24, and will increase to $29 after April 13, while the 1 Mile Fun Run is a flat $15. Entries will receive race t-shirts as available, post-race refreshments, and a ticket to the Loons baseball game beginning after the race at 2:05 p.m. Awards will be given to the first, second and third overall male and female participants. Masters and age group awards will also be given.
All proceeds for the Pennant Race will benefit Midland Public Schools Track and Field Teams. Runners interested in participating in the event can pick up registration forms at the Midland Community Center, the Great Lakes Loons front office, or online at webtrac.MyMcc.org.
