Aberdeen Wings News Release
Last night the Wings honored all the Billet families. We would once again like to thank them for everything they do! Minot 4 @ Aberdeen 5 - Stepan Pokorny had a goal and two assists to lead the Aberdeen Wings to a 5-4 win over the Minot Minotauros. Joe Strada grabbed a goal and an assist while Peter Morgan, Thomas Rocco and Riley Murphy all found the back of the net as well. Jake Beaune netted himself three assists while Henry Welsch made 25 saves to earn his first career NAHL win. Matthew Gellerman and Kevin Ness both tallied a goal and an assist for the Minotauros. David Raisanen and Connor McGinnis also lit the lamp for Minot. Ben Garrity stopped 30 shots in the loss.
The 2-4 seeds continue to flip flop throughout the weekend with Bismarck sweeping the Bruins, the Bobcats have now moved into 2nd place with Minot falling to 3rd and Austin currently sitting in 4th. You should expect the same in the final 2 weeks of the season. The Wings now prepare for a 3 game weekend against 2 playoff teams. Thursday the Wings will be on the road taking on Bismarck, who is currently on a 16 game points streak. Friday & Saturday the Wings return home to take on the Austin Bruins. This will be the regular season home finale for your Aberdeen Wings!
Congratulations to former Wings players TJ Roo, Carter Roo & Colin Raver for winning the DIII National Championship with The University of Wisconsin Stevens Point!
