
Sports snap losing streak

Shreveport-Bossier Captains News Release
After losing five straight, the Sports came back home to Fair Grounds Field and defeated the St. Paul Saints 11-2. It snapped a four-game winning streak for the Saints. All nine batters in the lineup had at least one hit led by Tommy Bryant who had three hits, including a three-run home run in the eighth. Sports starter Daniel Welch went the entire nine innings to pick up his first win of the year. It was also the fifth complete game of the season for a Sports pitcher. Shreveport and St. Paul will meet in the second game of the three-game series Saturday at Fair Grounds Field. Game time will be 7:05 with the broadcast on 710 AM KEEL.
