Sports Auction Sunday to Benefit Brian Rose Trust

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Wingnuts are holding a silent auction for the Brian Rose Trust this Sunday when the Wingnuts face the Grand Prairie AirHogs at 3:16 p.m.

The auction features more than 50 great pieces of sports memorabilia. Fans will have the opportunity to bid on each item during the game. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Brian Rose Trust.

Feature items include a basketball signed by the 2013 Phoenix Suns (including signatures from Michael Beasley and Marcus and Markieff Morris), an Eric Berry signed football, a photo signed by Johnny Bench, and baseballs signed by Ryne Sandberg, Goose Gossage, Mike Moustakas, Billy Butler, and Frank Thomas. Various other unique sports collectables will also be available for bid.

Brian Rose served as the Wingnuts' bench coach from 2010-12 before passing away at the age of 34 from stage 4 melanoma on January 31st of this year. Rose's number "3" was retired on Opening Night, and the Wingnuts have dedicated the 2013 season in Rose's honor.
