Sporting KC Waives Jordi Quintilla
June 23, 2016 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Sporting Kansas City News Release
Sporting Kansas City has waived midfielder Jordi Quintilla, the club announced Thursday.
Quintilla joined Sporting Kansas City in August 2015 and played 15 matches for the club across all competitions. The 22-year-old tallied one assist in six MLS appearances this season while also starting one match for the Swope Park Rangers.
A native of Lleida, Spain, Quintilla converted the game-winning penalty kick in the shootout of the 2015 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Final as Sporting Kansas City defeated the Philadelphia Union last September.
Quintilla has been removed from Sporting Kansas City's roster, making an international spot available. To view a complete list of Sporting Kansas City transactions in 2016, visit SportingKC.com/tracker.
