
MLS Issues Disciplinary Committee Decisions for Week 15

NEW YORK - The MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended D.C. United defender Bobby Boswell for one game and issued an undisclosed fine for serious foul play that endangered the safety of an opponent in the 28th minute of D.C.'s match against the Houston Dynamo on June 18. Boswell, who was originally issued a yellow card, will serve the suspension during D.C. United's next match against New England Revolution on June 25.
In addition, the MLS Disciplinary Committee has found Portland Timbers forward Lucas Melano guilty of embellishment in the 9th minute of Portland's match against Real Salt Lake on June 18. Melano has been issued an undisclosed fine for his actions.
Finally, the MLS Disciplinary Committee has issued an undisclosed fine to San Jose Earthquakes assistant coach Ian Russell for violating league policy when entering the field of play in the 85th and 90+ minute of play in San Jose's match against Orlando City SC on June 18.
