February 4, 2019 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Sporting Kansas City News Release
Sporting Kansas City has unveiled the club's new primary jersey for 2019 ahead of tonight's Season Kickoff and Kit Launch Party at the historic Nelson-Atkins Museum in Kansas City, Missouri.
Fans who have secured tickets to the Season Kickoff and Kit Launch Party can purchase the new kit at the event, which begins at 6 p.m. CT in the scenic Bloch Lobby of the Nelson-Atkins Museum. The jersey will be available in men's, women's and youth sizes alongside the new anthem jacket, travel jacket and primary jersey scarf.
In addition, Sporting's new kit will go on sale at MLSstore.com tonight at 8 p.m. CT. The entire new collection of Sporting KC merchandise will also be available beginning Tuesday at the SportingStyle Pop-In Store, open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. CT inside the Budweiser Brew House at Children's Mercy Park. Fans may also place their SportingStyle orders by emailing stylist@sportingkc.com or calling 913-912-7563.
The 2019 primary jersey combines Sporting KC's customary colors with Raw Grey, the new tonal accent color of the kit's diagonal stripes. The uniform features a Sporting Blue background with a Dark Indigo collar, numbering, Ivy Investments wordmark, adidas Three Stripes and diagonal-striped jock tag. Grey shorts and Sporting Blue socks with SKC initials round out the full uniform.
The new kit will accompany Sporting's black and metallic silver secondary jersey, introduced last year, throughout the 2019 season.
Tickets to Sporting's first home match of 2019-a highly anticipated showdown with Mexican side Deportivo Toluca FC in the first leg of the Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League Round of 16 on Feb. 21 at Children's Mercy Park-are now on sale at SeatGeek.com. Supporters can also buy single-game tickets to the club's first eight MLS home matches, beginning with Fan Appreciation Day against the Philadelphia Union on March 10 and ending with a marquee matchup versus Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the LA Galaxy on May 29.
