Sporting KC and SeatGeek to Send Fans to Inaugural Match with St. Louis CITY SC on Amtrak©

Sporting Kansas City and club partner SeatGeek will provide up to 100 fans with free round-trip Amtrak® train tickets for the team's inaugural match with St. Louis CITY SC at 8:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, May 20, at CITYPARK in St. Louis.

That Friday, May 19, these fans will have a specialized sendoff courtesy of the club and depart Union Station in Kansas City at 8:40 a.m. CT on the Amtrak Missouri River Runner® train. Each fan on the train will receive a Sporting Kansas City rally towel and other promotional items. They will return to Kansas City at 1:55 p.m. CT on Sunday, May 21.

Sporting Kansas City Season Ticket Members and members of the club's supporters groups will receive an exclusive promo code by email for a 23% discount* on these Amtrak trains.

All fans can take advantage of a 15% discount* on Missouri River Runner® train fares for travel during the weekend of May 19-21 using promo code V333 when booking on Amtrak.com.The discount offers apply to trips that weekend originating from any of the Missouri cities served by Amtrak Missouri River Runner® Trains 311 & 316 and Trains 318 & 319: Kansas City, Independence, Lee's Summit, Warrensburg, Sedalia, Jefferson City, Hermann, Washington, Kirkwood and St. Louis.

The Missouri River Runner® - which features café service and free WiFi - leaves daily from Union Station in downtown Kansas City at 8:40 a.m. and 4 p.m. with scheduled arrivals into the St. Louis Gateway Station Center at 2:20 p.m. and 9:40 p.m. Return service is available daily with 8:15 a.m. and 3:05 p.m. departures from St. Louis and scheduled 1:55 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. arrivals in Kansas City.

Infants under the age of two can ride free on Amtrak and children 2-12 years of age travel at 50% off the adult fare.

Sporting Kansas City is also providing 500 supporters with free tickets for the highly anticipated match as part of the club's longstanding tradition of offering complimentary tickets to away matches for Season Ticket Members and members of the club's supporters groups. Fans who requested tickets have been notified along with the opportunity to express interest in participating in the Amtrak trip.

The opening chapter of Sporting's long-awaited rivalry with Major League Soccer expansion side St. Louis CITY SC will kick off at 8:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, May 20 at the 22,000-seat CITYPARK (2019 Market St.) in St. Louis. The Western Conference clash will be nationally televised on FS1 and FOX Deportes in addition to an Apple TV broadcast available in over 100 countries worldwide.
