Sporting JAX Adjusts Kickoff Time for Inaugural Gainbridge Super League Match vs. DC Power FC

Sporting Club Jacksonville, the First Coast's first-ever professional women's soccer club, today announced an updated kickoff time for its historic inaugural match against DC Power FC in the Gainbridge Super League, a USL property.

Originally slated for 7 p.m. EST, the long-awaited home debut will now kick off at 8 p.m. EST in anticipation of projected afternoon thunderstorms and out of an abundance of caution for the safety of players, fans and staff.

Updated Match Schedule:

4 p.m. - Box office and parking lots open

6 p.m. - Pre-Match Fan Party begins in the Fan Zone (weather permitting)

7 p.m. - Stadium gates open

8 p.m. - Sporting JAX vs. DC Power FC kickoff

"We are committed to ensuring a safe and enjoyable matchday experience for everyone," said Steve Livingstone, president and CEO of Sporting JAX. "While impending weather conditions require a shift in kickoff time, nothing can dampen the excitement. We look forward to welcoming our community for this historic first match and thank all our fans for their understanding and support."

Sporting JAX reminds fans that umbrellas will not be allowed inside the stadium. However, rain ponchos are permitted and will also be available for purchase at all merchandise outlets. In the event of extreme weather or lightning, fans will be encouraged to shelter inside the stadium concourses or return to their vehicles until conditions improve.
