Saginaw, Mich. - The Saginaw Spirit (33-24-2-2) host the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds (18-28-9-6) Saturday, March 11, at the Dow Event Center.

Puck drop is at 7:05 p.m.

Tonight is the 11th annual Hockey for the Homeless night with the Rescue Ministries of Mid-Michigan and the Samaritan Youth Shelter. The Spirit will be wearing specialty Super Mario themed jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game, with proceeds benefiting both groups.

This is the seventh of eight meetings between these two teams, with each team taking three games apiece. The most recent game, which was played on February 15, saw Saginaw win 6-2 at the Soo. Bryce McConnell-Barker leads the Hounds in points (69) and assists (41). Kalvyn Watson's 30 goals are the most for any Soo skater. Charlie Schenkel holds top goaltender marks, posting a 3.63 GAA and an .889 SV%.

Saginaw has three (3) players drafted into the National Hockey League (NHL), including Matyas Sapovaliv (Vegas), Tristan Lennox (New York Islanders), and Hunter Haight (Minnesota).

The Soo have two (2) players drafted into the NHL, including Bryce McConnell-Barker (New York Rangers) and Kirill Kudryavtsev (Vancouver).
