On Friday, the Spirit let a three-goal first period lead disappear, falling to the first-place Kingston Frontenacs by a score of 5-3. Lawson Crouse and Jared Steege scored two goals apiece for the Fronts.

This week's Nexteer Automotive Player of the Week is Tampa Bay Lightning Prospect Mitchell Stephens. Stephens had a goal and two assists this weekend for the Spirit. Congrats Mitchell!

The Spirit look to pay the Sting back from the last game in Sarnia on February 15th. The radio broadcast begins at 6:50 on 100.5 WSGW with Joey Battaino and Dennis Desrosiers.

The Spirit take on the London Knights for Hockey for the Homeless Night at The Dow Event Center. Special Jerseys will be auctioned off after the game to benefit Rescue Mission of Saginaw and Bay City, as well as the Saginaw Spirit Charitable Foundation.

OHL SPONSORS SPECIAL OLYMPICS NIGHT:
Representatives from the Saginaw Police Department and Sault Ste. Marie Police Service will be on hand at the Thursday, March 10 Spirit game to collect donations for the Special Olympics. The "pass the bucket" to collect donations will occur during the first period of the game.
Special Olympics Michigan Inc. (SOMI) provides year-round sports training and athletic competition for 20,797 children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Athletes build physical fitness, develop self-confidence and prepare for participation in society. SOMI is a non-profit organization supported almost entirely by corporate and individual gifts, and events. The generosity of Michigan organizations, individuals and statewide businesses enable the program to continue.
OHL Big Ticket Night is a great opportunity for Special Olympics to raise money and with the help of the Saginaw Spirit, Sault Greyhounds, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 105, and the Sault Ste Marie Police
