
Spirit Suffer Loss to Rival Whalers

(Plymouth, MI) The Saginaw Spirit lost to the Plymouth Whalers Friday night, an 8-0 regulation loss. The Spirit, with 34 points and a record of 16-11-2-0, will resume action this upcoming Thursday when they host the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds at 7:11 PM.
The Whalers saw scoring from winger Ryan Hayes, winger Stefan Noesen, center Garrett Meurs, center A.J. Jenks, winger Tyler J. Brown, center Robbie Czarnik and defenseman Michal Jordan. Winger Jamie Devane tallied two goals in the effort, while goalie Scott Wedgewood earned the games first star honors after posting 35 saves on 35 shots. Spirit goalie Edward Pasquale turned aside 46 of 54 shots.
