Spirit Lose to Knights, 4-2

(Saginaw, MI) The Saginaw Spirit lost to the London Knights Tuesday night, 4-2. Center Tyler Murovich scored both goals in the effort. The Spirit move their record to 21-13-0-2 for the season.

The Knights scored the first goal of the game, as winger Jason Wilson knocked one in at 14:50 during the first period. Assisting on the play were centers Nazem Kadri and Kale Kerbashian. Nazem later tallied a powerplay goal at 17:51, after being assisted by center Philip McRae (NHL ST.LOUIS BLUES) and defenseman John Carlson (NHL WASHINGTON CAPITALS). The Spirit answered back late in the second with a powerplay goal coming from center Tyler Murovich at 18:06. The goal was assisted by winger Jordan Skellett and netminder Edward Pasquale.

Shortly into the third period, London winger Daniel Erlich went unassisted in scoring for the Knights at 1:41. McRae (NHL ST.LOUIS BLUES) added another point for the Knights at 4:28 in the period. The powerplay goal was assisted by centers Justin Taylor (NHL WASHINGTON CAPITALS) and Nazem Kadri. The Spirit battled back with a goal at 17:24, coming from defenseman Nick Crawford (NHL BUFFALO SABRES). Center Barry Sanderson and winger Jakub Svoboda were credited with the assists. The game ended with London ahead, 4-2.

Spirit goaltender Edward Pasquale and Knights netminder Trevor Cann (NHL COLORADO AVALANCHE) both finished with 28 saves.
