
Spirit Lose to Hounds, Return to Action Saturday at The Dow

(Saginaw, MI) The Saginaw Spirit Hockey Club traveled north Friday night for a exhibition match-up against their division rivals, the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. The Spirit battled the Greyhounds to a 5-3 loss, but look to return the favor Saturday night at TheDow Event Center when the two teams square off again. The game starts at 4:00 PM.
The Spirit saw scoring for Mitch Fillman, Barry Sanderson and Josh Shalla. Sanderson, Matt Braun, Joe Underwood, T.J. Brodie, Nick Crawford and Nick Trecapelli notched assists in the effort.
Not participating in the game for the Spirit were Edward Pasqaule, Brad Walch, Jordan Szwarz, Ryan Schnell, Frank Schumacher, Joe Pleckaitis, Alec Shields, Tyler Murovich, Jordan Skellett and Cody Sol.
The Spirit wrap up their pre-season with Saturday's game against the Greyhounds and an exhibition game against the Sarnia Sting on Thursday, September 10 at 7:30 PM, in Sarnia.
