Spirit Fall to Sting 3-2 on Pink out Night

The Sarnia Sting defeated the Saginaw Spirit by a score of 3-2 tonight at The Dow Event Center. Spirit goals were scored by Michael Fine and Justin Kea.

The first period was a tightly contested period which featured back and forth play but no goals between the Sting and the Spirit.

Saginaw came out strong in second period. Right-winger, Michael Fine, scored a goal just 50 seconds in, assisted by Garret Ross and Brandon Saad. Shortly thereafter, Justin Kea scored his second goal of the season to put the Spirit at a two-goal advantage over Sarnia. Steven Strong and Anthony Camara assisted the shot. Sarnia answered back with a goal by top prospect Nail Yakupov assisted by Reid Boucher and Taylor Carnevale. Ludvig Rensfeldt followed with Sarnia's second goal that was assisted by Nathan Chiarlitti and Daniel Broussard to tie the game at the end of the second.

Sarnia kept up the momentum in the third period as center Charlie Sarault scored the go ahead goal which would prove to be the game winner. Jake Paterson made 28 saves in net for Saginaw.
