Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. - The Saginaw Spirit (36-24-3-2) play their last away game of the season as they face off against the Soo Greyhounds (19-32-9-6) Friday, March 24, at the GFL Memorial Gardens.

Saginaw won 5-3 over the Hamilton Bulldogs Saturday, March 18, at the Dow Event Center.Saginaw's Hunter Haight scored two goals while Mitchell Smith and Michael Misa each earned two helpers. Andrew Oke got the nod for the Spirit, stopping 27 of 30 shots faced.
The Hounds won 8-2 over the Windsor Spitfires Saturday, March 18, at the
GFL Memorial Gardens. Brenden Sirizzotti netted two goals and three assists for the Greyhounds, the first five-point game of his OHL career.

This is the eighth and final matchup between these teams, with Saginaw winning four of the seven played so far. In the last game, which took place on March 11, saw the Spirit win 3-1 at home. In that game, Saginaw's Calem Mangone scored two goals and Hunter Haight earned three assists. Tristan Lennox got the start for the Spirit, stopping 27 of 28 shots faced. Owen Allard potted the lone Greyhound goal while Charlie Schenkel stopped 35 of 37 Saginaw shots.
Players to Watch:
Michael Misa and Zayne Parekh have points in each of their three games since returning from injury last Wednesday in Windsor. Misa leads OHL rookies with 55 points in his debut season. Hunter Haight leads the Spirit with 58 points this season. Matyas Sapovaliv leads in goals (26) while Dean Loukus leads in assists (39) for Saginaw. Tristan Lennox has the best goals against average (GAA) for the Spirit with a 3.15. Andrew Oke holds the highest save percentage (SV%) for Saginaw with an .897.
The Soo's Bryce McConnell-Barker has the most points (74) and assists (45) for his team. The Greyhound captain signed his entry-level contract with the New York Rangers yesterday, the team that selected him in the third round of the 2022 NHL Draft. Kalvyn Watson's 32 goals are the most of any Soo skater. Charlie Schenkel holds top goaltending marks for the Greyhounds, posting a 3.51 GAA and an .894 SV%.
Saginaw has three (3) players drafted into the National Hockey League (NHL), including Matyas Sapovaliv (Vegas), Tristan Lennox (New York Islanders), and Hunter Haight (Minnesota).
The Soo have two (2) players drafted into the NHL, including Bryce McConnell-Barker (New York Rangers) and Kirill Kudryavtsev (Vancouver).
