Lowell Spinners News Release
BURLINGTON, VT - The Lowell Spinners and Vermont Lake Monsters were rained out Tuesday evening at Centennial Field in Burlington, washing out the third game of the series due to a mid-afternoon thunderstorm.
The game will be made-up as part of a double header when the Spinners return to Vermont Sunday, July 28. It marks the second time the Spinners have been rained out of a get-away day game in as many tries.
The Spinners (4-3) now head to Tri-City for a two-game series with the Stedler Division leading ValleyCats. The starting rotation will push back a day, moving Tuesday's scheduled starter, Simon Mercedes (0-0, 0.00) to Wednesday and Jamie Callahan to Thursday.
First pitch from Joseph L. Bruno Stadium in Troy is scheduled for 7:05 and can be heard live on 980 WCAP.
