S P I N - N O T E S:

Walk-Off Win: For the third time in their last five wins at LeLacheur Park, the Spinners were walk-off winners, this time on the bat of OF Mike Meyers, who ' s two-out single scored 3B Jordan Betts to send the Spinners pouring onto the field to celebrate a 5-4 win over the Connecticut Tigers...The rally was started on an alert one-out bunt single by SS Mauricio Dubon, and even more alert base running, as Dubon took third on a wild pitch and scored when C Tim Remes throw short-hopped 3B Steven Fuentes as Dubon raced home to score the tying run, setting the stage for Meyers ... The win was the first for the Spinners when trailing after eight innings, moving their record to 1-27 in such situations.

No Rest for the Weary : 3B Jordan Betts and SS Mauricio Dubon had a long day of travel, but you wouldn ' t know it from the results, as the two returned from the All-Star Game in Brooklyn at 4pm and jumped right into the Spinners line-up, each picking up three hits nights...The two, plus RHP Carlos Pinales, were joined by the All-Star players from the Tigers, Tri-City ValleyCats and Vermont Lake Monsters for a bus ride that stopped in Tri-City before returning the players to Lowell.

Reilly Strong: RHP Reed Reilly had his best start of the season Wednesday night, going five strong innings, allowing just a single first inning run, striking out four...Reilly limited the Tigers to just four hits while walking a batter before giving way to the bullpen...Over his last three starts, each five innings, Reilly has allowed three runs or less, lowering his earned run average from 5.87 to 4.75.

Dubon Rolling: With his third multi-hit game in a row and fourth multi-hit game in his last five games, SS Mauricio Dubon has been the Spinners hottest hitter...With back-to-back three hit games, Dubon is now 10-for-19 over his last five games, raising his average from .293 to a high-watermark on the season of .314...Dubon currently ranks second in the NYPL in batting average.

Fernandez Home Debut : Tonight represents the home debut for RHP Jeffry Fernandez, who was promoted from the Gulf Coast League last week...Fernandez, who took the spot of RHP Heri Quevedo, was touched for three runs on three hits and four walks in 4.2 innings August 14 at Brooklyn...The right-hander had posted a 1-1 record and a 4.71 earned run average in nine games, eight starts, with the GCL Red Sox.

Table Setting : The Spinners received a strong boost from the top third of their starting nine Wednesday night, as OF Bryan Hudson (2-for-4), SS Mauricio Dubon (3-for-4) and 3B Jordan Betts (3-for-4) combined to go 8-for-12 atop the Lowell line-up...Each player scored a run while Dubon and Betts added RBI.

Smorol OK : After throwing a scoreless seventh inning, LHP Rob Smorol came out of the game after two pitches in the eighth inning, each sailing wide of their mark...The lefthander was removed for precautionary reasons, giving way to RHP Ellis Jimenez who recorded his fourth win of the season with two scoreless.

Underrated Out : Lost in the hoopla of the walk-off win was the final out of the top of the ninth inning ... Connecticut INF Will Maddox hit a single to shallow left field and OF Bryan Hudson threw home...The throw was wide, but C David Sopilka ranged to his right and then back to the plate to apply the tag for the final out.
