
Spencer and Lizotte Ranked in 2015 NHL Central Scouting Services Final Rankings

(Peterborough, ON)- The Peterborough Petes are proud to announce that defencemen Matt Spencer and Cameron Lizotte have each been ranked in the top 100 among North American skaters eligible for the 2015 NHL Entry Draft by the NHL Central Scouting Service.
Spencer came it at number 68 in the final rankings. The 6'2", 201lbs right defenceman from Oakville, Ontario, registered seven goals, 24 assists, 31 points and 66 penalty minutes in 72 regular season and playoff games in the 2014/15 season. He was selected by the Petes in the first round, third overall in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection.
Lizotte has risen 72 spots since the mid-term rankings, landing at number 99 among North American skaters. The 6'2", 200lbs right defenceman became a fan favourite with his gritty play, earning top-three rankings in shot blocking and body checking in the annual OHL coaches' poll. The Falconbridge, Ontario native recorded two goals, nine assists, and eleven points along with 139 penalty minutes in 70 total games.
The NHL Entry Draft will take place on June 26-27, 2015 in Sunrise, Florida. Four Petes players, including Spencer, Lizotte, Josh Coyle, and Artem Vladimirov are in their first year of eligibility for the draft. In all, 52 OHL players were ranked, making up 20% of all ranked players worldwide. Click here to see the full rankings.
