Sean Josling scored the game winning goal and added a pair of assists as the Sarnia Sting defeated the Kitchener Rangers, 4-1, in front of a crowd of 3,870 fans at Progressive Auto Sales Arena in Game 3 on Tuesday night.

The Sting now lead the best-of-seven series, 2-1, with Game 4 set for Thursday, April 12 at 7:05pm in Sarnia.

Franco Sproviero gave the hosts a 1-0 lead from Curtis Egert and Mitch Eliot at 8:51 of the first period.

The Sting poured salt in the wound by extending the lead to 2-0 with just four seconds remaining in the period on a goal by Josling, his fifth of the postseason, from Hugo Leufvenius at 19:56.

Shots on goal through the opening 20 minutes of play favoured the Sting, 10-7.

After a scoreless second period the Sting added another to extend their lead to 3-0 on a goal by Jonathan Ang while shorthanded, his second of the playoffs, from Josling at 7:45.

Joseph Garreffa got the Rangers on the board seconds later at 8:19 of the third with a power play maker, making it a 3-1 game from Logan Brown and Logan Stanley.

It was as close as the Rangers would come, however, as Sproviero's second of the game solidified the win for the Sting, making it a 4-1 game at 19:23 while on the power play and into an empty net from Josling.

The Rangers were 1-for-3 on the power play, while the Sting were 1-for-5 with the man advantage.

Logan Stanley, Adam Mascherin, and Logan Brown each wore an "A" and skated as alternates to Rangers' captain Connor Bunnaman.
