Edmonton, AB â The 2003 Grey Cup Champion Edmonton Eskimos announced today the signing of special teams veteran Roger Reinson. In keeping with club policy, terms of the deal have not been released.
The 34 year-old native of Melville, Saskatchewan is entering his 11th CFL season â his 4th with the Eskimos. In 2003, Reinson appeared in all 18 regular season games and led the Esks with 17 special teams tackles. Roger previously spent time in both Calgary ('95-â99) and B.C. (2000) and has remarkably won a Grey Cup championship with each team.
"I am excited to be returning to the Eskimos and I'm looking forward to the opportunity to defend our championship," said Reinson from his home in Calgary. "I am very happy to have Roger back with us for next season. He is a terrific special teams player and a valuable member of our team," said Eskimo Head Coach Tom Higgins.
