Sparks to Host LAUSD "I'M In" Night on September 12

LOS ANGELES - As part of "Back to School Night," on September 12, the Sparks, in support of the LAUSD Homeless Education Program, will host LAUSD "I'M IN" Night with up to $10 from each game ticket purchased to be donated to the LAUSD Homeless Education Program.

For the Sparks September 12 game vs. the Minnesota Lynx, fans can purchase tickets by phone and use the code LAUSD to receive special ticket pricing with up to $10 of the ticket cost donated to LAUSD. Tickets are offered at special prices ranging from $12.50 to $55, including savings ranging from $2.50 to $10 per seat.

Phone orders for LAUSD tickets will be taken until Wednesday, September 11 at Noon. Sparks fans can purchase LAUSD tickets by calling 877.44.SPARKS (772757) or Janel Bullard at 213.929.1308.

"I'M IN" is LAUSD's all-inclusive program to raise awareness about the District's healthy meals to help fight childhood obesity, as well as encourage student attendance and dropout prevention. The LAUSD Homeless Education Program is designed to effectively serve students and families in transition, providing advocacy and referral services that foster a sense of empowerment and stability. The Homeless Education Program addresses the needs of the approximately 13,000 identified students within District boundaries and offers assistance in areas such as educational and meal programs, transportation, school supplies, medical, dental, and mental health referrals, educational rights, advocacy services and many more.

"We thank the Sparks for partnering with us to benefit the thousands of students in need in our District," says Nancy Gutierrez, Pupil Services Coordinator at LAUSD. "This game will not only kick-off the new school year in an exciting manner, but with the community's support, it will also make a difference in continuing to provide services to our student population."

The Los Angeles Unified School District is the second largest district in the nation and enrolls more than 650,000 K-12 students at more than 900 schools and 187 public charter schools.
