Sparks Host Annual Latino Celebration Night August 25

Los Angeles - The Los Angeles Sparks are hosting their annual Latino Celebration Night presented by the LA County Tobacco Control and Prevention Program on Saturday, August 25 when they take on the New York Liberty at STAPLES Center at 7.30PM.

The night will feature post-game performances by music superstar Jon Secada, comedian Felipe Esparza, winner of NBC's Last Comic Standing, pop star D'Manti and a closing performance by hip hop artist Baby Bash.

"Latino Celebration Night is a perfect way to honor Southern California's rich Latino Culture," Sparks President Mike Levy said. "In addition to an exciting basketball game, our fans will enjoy pre-game and halftime entertainment, and outstanding post-game performances."

Prior to the game, MARIACHI USA presents Mariachi Corazon, a top LA female mariachi group. At halftime, one of LA's premier Latino dance groups, MG Dance Group, will feature 4-14 year old salsa performers. Kiki Melendez, from Kiki Melendez' Hot Tamales Live! will be the night's host.
