Albuquerque Isotopes News Release
Albuquerque, NM - The Sugar Land Space Cowboys connected on three long home runs Saturday night, accounting for five of their nine total tallies in a 9-3 victory over the Albuquerque Isotopes.
Albuquerque has dropped four games in a row and 11 of their last 13 contests.
Topes Scope: - Since Sugar Land and Albuquerque started playing one another in 2021, the Skeeters/Space Cowboys have eight winning streaks of three or more games against the Isotopes.
- Albuquerque's four-game losing streak at home is their longest since dropping a franchise worst 10 straight from Aug. 24-Sept. 10 last year.
- The Isotopes pitching staff tied a season-high with 14 strikeouts, having also done so on April 21 vs. Oklahoma City.
- Albuquerque starter Ben Braymer walked five batters, a season-high for any Isotope hurler and the most since Karl Kauffmann (five) on Sept. 27, 2022 vs. El Paso.
- Braymer's six strikeouts tied for the third-most by an Isotopes starter this season, and it was the most since Noah Davis registered six on May 31 at Salt Lake.
- Jorge Alfaro joined the Isotopes after signing a Minor League deal with Colorado earlier in the afternoon. He connected on a two-run homer in the sixth inning, his seventh blast overall this season as he connected on six with Triple-A Worcester (Red Sox).
- Yorvis Torrealba came off the bench and was 2-for-3 with an RBI single; marking his first multi-hit contest since Sept. 10, 2022 for High-A Spokane.
- Daniel Cope compiled his sixth multi-hit game of the season and has at least one knock in nine of his last 10 contests.
- Hunter Stovall delivered his 15th multi-hit performance of the campaign, including the second consecutive night. He is 10-for-27 with a double, two homers and four RBI in his last seven games.
- Trevor Boone drew three walks in a game for the second time in his professional career (July 2, 2021 with the AZL Rockies).
- Gavin Hollowell gave up a pair of runs in two innings, snapping a 9.1 scoreless inning streak across eight appearances dating back to Oct. 1, 2022 for Colorado.
- Logan Allen struck out at least three batters for the eighth time in 19 appearances this season.
- Tonight marked the 23rd time both teams finished with double-digits in the hit column this year, including six times in 11 matchups vs. Sugar Land.
- Albuquerque registered just one extra-base hit, the ninth time this year they have been held to zero or one in a contest.
- Sugar Land's four stolen bases tied for the most by an Isotopes opponent in 2023 (April 15 at El Paso).
- Albuquerque hit into three double plays for the fourth time this season and first since June 4 at Salt Lake.
- Alamogordo High School graduate Quincy Hamilton homered again, his fourth in four games since being promoted to Triple-A Sugar Land.
- Tomorrow, the Isotopes will look to avoid dropping five consecutive games in the same home series for the third time in team history. It previously happened Aug. 25-29, 2004 vs. Colorado Springs (swept) and Aug. 24-28, 2022 vs. Round Rock (lost five of six).
On Deck: The Isotopes host their annual Pride Night, as they close out this series against Sugar Land. Right-handed pitcher Noah Davis is scheduled to start for Albuquerque against right-hander Shawn Dubin.
