Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release
The Colorado Springs Sky Sox beat the Memphis Redbirds 7-3 on Monday night to complete a series sweep. With the Sox win and Albuquerque's loss to Omaha the Sox and Isotopes are tied for 1st place with 14 games to go. Sox starter Chris Gissell went 6 innings, striking out 7 to pick up his 7th win of the year. Clint Barmes who smacked his 5th home run of the season had 4 hits to lead the Sox offense. The Sox venture on a 10-day roadtrip that starts Tuesday in Omaha when Scott Elarton (5-6, 5.64) takes the hill for the Sox against Sean Lowe (2-0, 2.97) of Omaha.
