Sox Open 2012 Season on Friday vs. Bells

It's finally here! Another exciting season of AppleSox baseball is set to get underway as the Sox open the 2012 season on Friday, June 1st, with a four game road swing in Bellingham, Wash., against the Bellingham Bells.

Wenatchee is coming off a 39-15 season that saw the club capture its sixth division championship. Bellingham ended the 2011 season, its first in the West Coast League's East Division, with a 21-32 record.

The Sox opening day roster will feature a wide array of local talent, as the team will temporarily replace seven players. Six of those seven are playing in the NCAA tournament.

Following the series in Bellingham, the team will return home for a six game home stand, with back-to-back interdivision series against the Bend Elks and Corvallis Knights. Corvallis won the 2011 West Coast League championship.
