Sox lose after 1 hour and 39 minute rain delay

The Sky Sox led 1-0 in the top of the 6th and Denny Stark was working on a 4 hitter, and then the rain's came. The game was delayed for 1 hour and 39 minutes. After the delay was over the sox bullpen struggled, giving up 4 runs in the next two innings. Sox reliever Brian Smith continued to struggle giving up 3 of those 4 runs, which included a 2 run home run in the bottom of the 7th. Ben Petrick was 4-4 on the day, adding his 16th double of the year to lead the Sox offense. The Sox head home Tuesday for a 4-game series against their division rivals Albuquerque Isotopes. Denny Neagle was slated to start the 1st game of the series but was called up to the Rockies on Tuesday morning. The Sox starter, who is yet to be determined, will face the Isotopes' Sean Bergman (0-7, 5.31).

2B: Sky Sox- Petrick, Zephyrs- Chavex, Logan.
HR: Zephyrs- Lane (2).
SB: Sky Sox- Barmes (6).
