South Bay Lakers News Release
EL SEGUNDO - The South Bay Lakers have acquired a first and second-round pick in the 2024 NBA G League Player Draft from the Delaware Blue Coats, it was announced today. As part of the transaction, South Bay sent the returning player rights to Devin Cannady to the Birmingham Squadron.
Cannady (6'2", 183) spent the 2022-23 season with the South Bay Lakers, appearing in 31 games (28 starts) and averaging 11.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 28.7 minutes per game. The 27-year-old has appeared in 13 career NBA games for the Orlando Magic (2020-22), averaging 6.5 points while shooting 39.6 percent from 3-point range and 78.6 percent from the free-throw line in 16.8 minutes per game.
South Bay now owns two firsts and three second-round picks in the 2024 NBA G League Player Draft.
